Hermenegildo Garcia’s group hosted in Valencia the 1st in-person meeting of the ECO₂Fuel project that took place on September 22-23. ECO₂Fuel is an EU project under Horizon2020 (Green Deal). It aims to design, manufacture, operate, and validate the worldwide first low-temperature 1MW direct, electrochemical CO₂ conversion system to produce economic and sustainable liquid e-fuels and chemicals.

15 international partners from the chemical, energy, hydrogen, mechanical engineering and automotive industry, and several research institutions met last week in Valencia to present the project’s achievements and to discuss the challenges and strategies to overcoming these as well as to talk on future strategies to contribute to achieve the project’s goals.
